They say, timing is everything.  Yup.  I have to agree.  Timing made it OK for me to not write a ditty or volley a new SOAPBOX® video in your inbox on Monday.  Instead, I let timing  takes its course and drive me to scribe today.  The day after I met Kevin Carroll. (www.kevincarrolkatalyst.com)  Timing allowed him to water the seed of optimism, determination, imagination, energy, love and passion that I’d already planted in my own heart so many years ago…but which still, ALWAYS needs more nurturing.

WHAT A WEEKEND!  I don’t know about you, but mine was full of left-over meetings, somber moments, housework, tears of joyful celebration (after all, it was EASTER!).  But I can’t remember having a full-on episode of laughter.  Nope, not-a-one.  I wasn’t in a bad mood or depressed by any means!  I mean, I had plenty of  “happy” moments…  Hit the town.  Played around with a frickin’ adorable puppy.  Spent time with friend and family and shared stories.  But never did anything churn up much more than a giggle, let alone a “Wait! My drink just came out of my nose!” moments.  (Yes, that is the best!!  Painful…but the best!!)  What about you?  Did anything almost make you pee your pants in reckless hilarity?  Perhaps MANY of us might need to reflect on why it DIDN’T happen this weekend…or hasn’t happened for a long time.  Perhaps we’re taking life AND ourselves too damn seriously.  After all laughter is the best medicine, the best communicator and the best connector.  Just ask any kid.      ~ KD

My, my, my, my, my, my, my.  It’s the beginning of another week already.  Yup, this SOAPBOX® queen has a full-blown case of the Mondays.  Yuck.  What…you too?  Well, perhaps it’s one of those cases where it’s ok to simply sit in the funk.  Just sooooooak in it.  Stare at it with acceptance (and, yet, a bit of contempt) and let it have its way until it moves on through and out.   As gross, grey and grumpy as it feels, perhaps these energy-parched days are good for the soul, in the end, for they let us see the cloud coverage for what it simply is: a short-lived perspective.  So, cheers to the day…to Monday…whether she’s good, bad or ugly.  We all know…she ain’t stayin’ long!               ~ KD
